Valentine’s Day.
It’s the official day of love. The pressure is on to look good. You want to feel all sorts of things; sexy, sassy, girly, demure, confident, vulnerable, dominant, playful… the list goes on – you decide! However you choose to spend your day with your loved one you want to look and feel your best. This year I chose to go for something a little bit different. I would say my signature look is a bronze lid, long lashes, a natural coverage and a nude lip. For V-Day I fancied a change. So I opened up my palettes; Lancôme, Urban Decay, Clinique – the usual culprits! One colour jumped out at me, plum. Having green eyes I often go for aubergine and plum shades when choosing clothing but I don’t tend to use that shade of eye colour even though it is supposedly the most flattering for my eye shade.
To keep the look soft I used a shimmering peachy-gold ‘chopper’ from my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette to cover my lid. I then worked a dull matte mauve plum from my Rimmel quad into my crease. To line my under eye line I used a dark sparkly plum from my L’Oreal quad; Trésors Caché. I like to use a touch of ‘booty call’ from my Naked 2 palette just under the arch of my brow and near my tear duct. To finish this look, I wore a plum-nude lip by Soap & Glory (a great product) in ‘Naked Beige’.
I paired this makeup with a soft silk floral blouse and a side part.
